The base plate is lowered most of the way here, and you can see that the opening is about 3" (75mm). If I had thought about it a bit more, I would have used a slightly deeper frame with the drum mounted toward the back. As it is, the baseplate adjustment is 6", but the aperture only reaches 3 1/2".
